Sunday Spotlight: Soleus Air Dehumidifer

Two years ago, my family and I moved into my grandmother's house.  The house was built in 1958 and is for the most part, a very sound house.  The worse thing about it is the fact it has a very, very small crawl space under the house.  So small that in two corners the house is less than a foot off the ground! 

In normal years, or should I say, years of normal rainfall, this is would not be much of a problem.  But this year has not be normal!  With this year's rainfall being over 10" our normal amount, we started having problems with mold.  We soon realized that it had to do with the fact that the crawl space could not dry out, causing high humidity to build up in our house.  If we could stop the humidity, we would stop the mold.

We can't say enough good things about the dehumidifer.  Our crackers don't get soggy any more when they get left out by the kids.  Our apples, oranges and bananas  are lasting longer.  Our hand towels dry twice as fast now.  The musky smell is gone!
